I just got a sheet of LEE 225 natural density frost and I planning on mounting it beneath my
10mm acrylic as a diffuser and as a projection surface.

(1)
I was wondering on how to mount the LEE to my acrylic. I’ve only read about fix-mount so far but I really doubt that this is a good idea.
Wouldn’t it affect the image since this stuff is really viscous?

EDIT: Tried fix-mount on a piece of acrylic that was left over. The result is as I thought. The glue isn’t spread evenly and you can see really small dots of glue. I guess it would harm the blobtracking (gonna test that tomorrow)

(2)

Is the diffuser/projection surface supposed to look like that?
I was a bit surprised when I opened the package because LEE 225 is actually quite grayish with a (little!) hint of green.

Nevermind the 2nd question. It’s all good wink

regards,
marv

okay I found this in the forum suggesting:

Elmer’s glue
http://nuigroup.com/forums/viewthread/962/

and

PVA glue
http://nuigroup.com/forums/viewthread/7499/

I’m gonna try both methods tomorrow and will post results.
Anybody tried this before?

later,
marv

I’ve also tested mounting projection materials using silicone it works pretty nicely. keeping mind that the silicone has to be very dilute.
